I can smell Japan it’s so close.
Yesterday’s mail included information about my first host family in Kanagawa. They are young parents with a 6 year old son who apparently speaks English. I had in mind that I would be staying with a student my age (or there abouts) - I guess not.
Their place is only 10 minutes from school, and on the same block as Maccas. I wonder if they have triple cheeseburgers…

On Tuesday I received information about where I’m staying.
I’ll be attending a school in Kanagawa prefecture called “Kanagawa Sogo Sangyou High,” which roughly translates to Industry Training school, I think. I’m not sure but I think they specialise in manufacturing industry subjects, which sounds pretty suitable for me. Hopefully I’ll be able to get in to some sort of industrial design or graphic design subjects. =) They haven’t told me which year level I’ll be in yet, though. The senior students always have heft uni preparation, so they generally don’t put exchange students in there. I’ll probably end up in our year 11 equivalent (year 2 high school in Japan).
The thing I like most about this school though is no uniform, and it starts at 9am! Which is a big change for me, considering Churchie had strict uniform policy and started earlier at 8am.
I should also mention the school is literally a 30-minute train ride from the middle of Tokyo.
I’m so excited. Gonna be awesome.
I leave for Japan in about 3 months.
Don’t know where I’m staying yet… Tokyo would be sweet.
I’ll start blogging properly when I get there. :3
三か月の後、日本に行きます
どこに住むかわからないけど、東京に住みたい!
日本に行く時、ちゃんとブロゴするはずです。。。
私の日本語がまだ強くないだけど、たぶん時々日本語で書くでしょう
